Joey King said she “cried” watching her best friend Sabrina Carpenter perform, calling her the “sweetest pop star.”

I got to see my wife perform in chi town last night and I cried of course, she’s just the shortest and sweetest pop star I’ve ever seen I might let her make me Juno

Joey King recently shared an emotional moment on Instagram after watching her best friend, Sabrina Carpenter, perform during her Chicago tour stop. King, 25, described the experience, saying, “I cried, of course. She’s the sweetest pop star I’ve ever seen.” She added a playful nod to Carpenter’s album, Short n’ Sweet, and the song “Juno,” joking, “I might let her make me Juno.”

In the post, King included clips of herself dancing during Carpenter’s performance of “Please Please Please” and “Good Graces,” along with backstage photos featuring her nieces and Carpenter. Dressed in a pink mini skirt, baseball cap, and a shirt with the word “camaraderie” (referencing Carpenter’s song “Bed Chem”), King was all smiles at the show.

When a fan asked why she was in the crowd, King humorously responded, “wanted to mosh babe.” She continued to express her admiration by posting a heartfelt Instagram Story with the caption, “I love you, my brina. Perfect girl. Perfect show. Feel so lucky to watch you shine.”

This heartwarming moment is just one of many shared between the two friends, who have maintained a decade-long friendship. King has frequently praised Carpenter, even telling PEOPLE after the Governors Ball music festival in June how much she loves Carpenter’s hit “Please Please Please.”

With their busy schedules, King and Carpenter’s friendship remains strong, and King has many favorite songs from Carpenter’s Short n’ Sweet album, which she says changes “literally every day.”
