Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs Placed on Suicide Watch After Arrest, Mental State Unclear
Sean “Diddy” Combs, 54, is currently being held at Brooklyn’s Metropolitan Detention Center after being denied bail twice following his indictment on multiple sex crime charges, including sex trafficking and racketeering. Arrested on Monday, Sept. 16, at a Manhattan hotel, Combs pleaded not guilty the following day. According to sources, he is now on suicide watch as a precautionary measure, though it remains unclear if Combs is suicidal.
Combs’ legal team has requested a transfer to a New Jersey prison, citing dangerous conditions at the Metropolitan Detention Center. The facility, which houses 1,600 inmates, has faced criticism for poor conditions, including multiple deaths and suicides. His lawyers noted that at least four suicides have occurred there in the past three years.
The indictment against Combs accuses him of using his fame, influence, and drugs like cocaine to coerce women into participating in elaborate “freak offs,” which were allegedly filmed without the victims’ knowledge. Federal investigators seized three AR-15 rifles and 1,000 bottles of baby oil during raids on his properties earlier this year.
