Metallica Expands Its Scholars Initiative

Metallica has announced the expansion of its Metallica Scholars Initiative through the All Within My Hands Foundation. The program, which enhances the student experience at community colleges across the U.S., has added 18 new schools to its roster, bringing the total to 60.

Each new school will receive $75,000 to enhance students’ career and technical education programs. The Metallica Scholars Initiative now includes schools in all 50 U.S. states and the territory of Guam.

“When we launched the Metallica Scholars Initiative, it really spoke to me. A collective goal of breaking the stigma of trade skills,” Metallica frontman James Hetfield said. “Trade skills are vital to society, and what’s even more important is to support the many folks who are trying to create a career by learning and using these skills.”

The Metallica Scholars Initiative was launched in 2019 by the All Within My Hands Foundation in partnership with the American Association of Community Colleges.
