Metallica Revives Helping Hands Benefit Concert with Jimmy Kimmel as Host

Metallica has announced their 2024 Helping Hands benefit concert and auction, with Jimmy Kimmel serving as the host. Scheduled for Friday, December 13, at the YouTube Theater in Los Angeles, the charity event will raise funds for the band’s All Within My Hands Foundation. This organization focuses on workforce education, fighting hunger, disaster relief, and other causes.

The previous Helping Hands benefit concert in 2022 raised $3 million for the foundation. Notable appearances at the event included Jimmy Kimmel, Robert Downey Jr., Tony Hawk, St. Vincent, and Greta Van Fleet.

“We’re psyched to announce we’re adding one more show to the calendar this year,” the band shared in an Instagram post. “Our @allwithinmyhandsfoundation’s Helping Hands Concert & Auction returns to Los Angeles.” The event’s lineup has yet to be announced.

Ticket pre-sales for the event will begin tomorrow (July 24) at 10 a.m. PDT for Legacy members and at 12 p.m. PDT for Fifth Members. Tickets will go on general sale on Friday (July 26) at 10 a.m. PDT. Visit here to purchase tickets.

100% of ticket and auction proceeds will go to All Within My Hands, which has raised over $15 million for those in need, including $8 million in grants for technical education programs and almost $4 million to combat food insecurity since its formation in 2017.

Metallica’s Milestone on the Billboard 200

In other news, Metallica’s self-titled album, also known as ‘The Black Album,’ recently achieved a milestone of 750 weeks on the Billboard 200 charts. The album includes five hit singles: “Enter Sandman,” “The Unforgiven,” “Nothing Else Matters,” “Wherever I May Roam,” and “Sad But True.”
