Metallica M72 World Tour is set to hit Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, this weekend with two highly anticipated shows on Friday, August 23, and Sunday, August 25. The band has shared key details about the weekend’s special events, including performances by guest acts Pantera and Mammoth WVH on Friday, followed by Five Finger Death Punch and Ice Nine Kills on Sunday. Each night promises a completely unique setlist, offering fans a fresh musical experience at every show.
In addition to the concerts, Metallica has organized a series of exciting off-stage activities. From August 22 to August 25, a pop-up store will be open in Edmonton, featuring exclusive merchandise like a splatter vinyl edition of *72 Seasons*, event posters, and tees designed by artist Sara Deck. Fans can also look forward to products from popular artist Squindo, including shirts, skateboards, and hats.
The M72 interactive map will guide fans to Metallica-related spots around Edmonton, including a fun scavenger hunt with prizes. On August 24, a Metallica Film Fest will take place at The Rec Room, showcasing three different films representing various eras of the band’s career. Other events include performances by Bastardane & Ottto and a Metallica tribute band, Disposable Heroes.
Additionally, two exclusive posters designed by artist Kathleen Goff will be available for each Edmonton show, but they won’t be sold online. Fans aged 21 and over can enjoy signature Blackened cocktails at select bars in Commonwealth Stadium.
